 As announced before the show, Wood-Mizer’s highlight exhibit at Ligna 2013 was the new small log processing system that generated great interest from visitors who attended from around the world. The entire system of conveyors, chains, and three sawmills which makes up the SLP II line are conveniently operated from a central remote console at the front of the line.  At Ligna 2013 in Hannover, Wood-Mizer unveiled a prototype of a new type of sawmill that will be introduced in 2014 - a wide band mill designed to increase production capabilities beyond any product Wood-Mizer has historically offered. According to Wood-Mizer, the project was developed in cooperation with a well-known and highly respected wide band sawmill manufacturer in order to offer a product to customers around the world.  Several sales on the first day gave Wood-Mizer a flying start at the UK’s APF 2012 exhibition in September. The company’s large stand allowed for the demonstration of a good selection of sawmills and secondary processing equipment from both the ‘Orange’ professional range and the Industrial range.
